If we can resuscitate you after you've been gobsmacked by the beauty of this place, we then return to Lonsdale Quay where you can spend time gazing out at Vancouver Harbour and the city skyline on the horizon.  Visit Lonsdale Quay Market, with over 80 specialty shops and services, a premier destination at the gateway to the North Shore. Experience the fresh food market featuring local procucts, an international food court and specialty shops featuring local designers. Buy a bottle of exclusive BC wine at the Artisan Wine Shop or do a tasting of the several craft beers available at the Green Leaf Brewing Company
Time permitting, a short stroll from the Quay is North Vancouver's Shipbuilders' Square, commemorating the thousands of men and women who worked at the shipyards on this site between 1906 and 1992. The old shipyard site has recently been transformed into a public space and event venue.  If we're lucky, we may see the farmers' market, a community stage concert, buskers, or drop in on one of the festivals which take place regularly throughout the summer months
